Feminism in Mexico

There have been registered 7.7% of increases in femicides in Mexico compared to 2019.  According to Alfonso Durazo, Citizen Public Safety, in January there were 74 femicides, in February, 92; in March 78, in April 73, and in May also 73, but in June the number rise to 99, the highest monthly report so far in 2020. The states that registered the most femicides between January and June are Estado de México, Veracruz, Mexico City, Puebla, Nuevo León, and Jalisco.  I think that this is an issue that the government should start noticing more and having serious consequences for the rapists. This is a problem that is not only affecting the women that they had murder, but it also affects all their families, their friends, and all the women in this country. As woman, we are used to so many things that we should not be accustomed to, for example, not wearing the things we want because they are "provocative" to the men, instead of them having respect and not objectifying women. Aletxa Pascual My First Post

  Hi! My name is Aletxa Pascual Macias, I am 15 years old, one of the favorite things I love to do is go jogging or take my dog for a walk. Also, I spend my resting time learning how to code on my computer and learning French because I love to learn new languages. Some of my favorite meals are lasagna and sushi, I just really enjoy both of the flavors, but I like them more if there are homemade. Something I expect from Ethics’ class is to practice my English, show my point of view of the different topics we will learn, and learning new ideas of others’ points of view on the topics. Something I dislike is a place that is dirty and not organized.  One of my strengths is that I’m very organized when we are talking about school and another is I never give up when I’m focused on something.
