Should the Death Peanlty Be Allowed?

The death penalty is the execution of an offender sentenced to death after conviction by a court of law of a criminal offense. In 1977, one year after the Supreme Court reaffirmed the constitutionality of the death penalty, more than 1,480 people in United States have been executed, mainly through metal injection. Although the death penalty can also be applied because of treason, espionage and other crimes, most death penalty cases involve the execution of the perpetrator. I think that it doesn't matter how severe did a person affect or did something, they are still a human and no one can take their rights no matter what. I also believe that no person can decide to take another one's live, it doesn't matter if he is the most qualified jury, they still don't have the right to end a life.

"Capital punishment is a barbaric remnant of uncivilized society. It is immoral in principle, and unfair and discriminatory in practice. It assures the execution of some innocent people. As a remedy for crime, it has no purpose and no effect. Capital punishment ought to be abolished now.” American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). I completely agree with this statement, because it truly is a residue of an uncivilized society that is still trying to decide over taking another human being life. This is inhumane and I don't think it should exist anymore. As the statement says, there had been different executions of innocent people, that I think is a huge mistake that shouldn´t happen at any costs. And by deleting the capital punishment, we could avoid this accidents.

I think the death penalty should not be allowed, because it has brought a lot of different mistakes and bad consequences to the world. And by the other hand, I believe that no one should be able to decide over taking another person's live.
