The Influence of Ethics in Business

The most important influence on ethical behavior in the workplace is the entire company culture, which determines whether employees are valued or devalued and whether stakeholders are trusted or doubted. A company that makes policies and decisions based on deep-rooted ethics will create a culture in which employees will naturally adopt ethical behaviors. 

The type of integrity that is the root of ethical company culture cannot be forged or taught, but it can be contagious and enlightening. If you act honestly, then moral behavior usually develops naturally. I think this is one of the most important topics when we talk about business because this topic is the one that can gradually impact the way a company works and how would it be in the future. Ethics is everywhere, in business this moral philosophy affects every decision they take and what will be the consequences. 

One of the divisions of ethics in business is customer service, an ethical company will train employees to treat customers with dignity and respect and maintain fairness and honesty with them. Employees who see this behavior as an integral part of customer service will understand the depth of the company's commitment to ethical behavior. They may model their work accordingly because moral influence can inspire kindness, honesty, and fairness.

The Harvard Business Review reports that employees who put customer needs first tend to be more ethical at work. I agree with this information because I think it is really important the way we should treat people, not only when we are selling, but in our daily lives. I think that the way you treat people talks very much about yourself and the company you are working for, so if an employee is disrespectful in a certain way, I don't think people will think about that company the same way because it is the way the company taught the employees to behave.

As this division, there are other ones when we talk about ethics in business such as human resources, product integrity, etc. Ethics creates a huge impact on the companies and their way of working, this should be one of the priorities business should have to become better.
